Your Personal Dialogue

I'm searching.  Continuously searching for my path.  I know where I'm going, but not necessarily how to get there.  But, do any of us?

Things I know:  I know I love to write.  I know I love to read.   My goal is to become as avid a writer, as I am a reader.  How do I go about this?  The answers to my "life" questions usually come to me after I've written the questions in my journal and this time was no exception.  The answer to my question was "practice, practice, practice."   Words I've heard, words I've read many times in the past.  The exception now is the fact that with my love of writing, I know I will do this.  Thus, the update to my blog.

I've been applying to a few "content" markets lately.  Honestly, I've applied to SEVERAL content markets in the past six months.  Most recently, though, I've strictly focused on just two and this has helped me keep my attention keenly centered toward my goal.

Everyone has different reasons for writing - or not.  Everyone has a story inside them.  Write your story, you'll be glad you did.

Benefits of Journaling

There are numerous benefits to keeping a daily journal.  Entries in a journal can vary from the ultra-sensitive to the mundane daily sequence of our lives.  One thing for sure, though, once you start your journal journey, you will almost immediately see changes in your life; changes in your attitude; changes in your disposition; changes in the way others see you because you are changing the way you see yourself.

You don't need a fancy leather-bound, made by hand, journal to record your daily entries.  Although, I have to add since I make and sell these fancy hand-made books on Etsy, there is something about actually "using" your hand-crafted masterpiece.  Writing in your beautiful journal will be tough at first but once you break the ice and actually begin, you will quite happily pick up your journal every single day because you feel good about it.  It's like having your most favorite pen and actually getting a little pang of excitement when you pick up that pen and stroke it gracefully across the page.

Of course, there are also many other choices at your nearest dollar store, department store or convenience store. Any size. Any color. Any thickness. Any price. The aim here is to take that first step - buy a journal, grab a pen and start writing.

  • Writing in a journal can help you make sense of your thoughts.
  • Writing in a journal can help you to solve problems.
  • Writing in a journal can unclutter your mind.
  • Writing in a journal makes you a better writer. You write. Therefore, you are.
  • Writing in a journal can help you remember important events.
  • Writing in a journal is excellent for self-actualization.
  • Writing in a journal gives you a platform to ask for help from your Higher Source.
These are just a few benefits to keeping a daily journal.  Don't beat yourself up if you don't write in it for a day or even a few days in a row.  I guarantee once you start realizing the benefits to keeping a journal, you'll be back at it and before you know it, you'll be buying your next one.

Welcome to my new home!

This new space is for my creative outlets.  I love to read, I love to write and I love all things Spiritual. This blog will entertain all of these aspects of my life, from my newest stories and articles, my journal and jewelry creations, to my Spiritual path.

For me, all of these things I mentioned are completely intertwined.  We all have stories to tell, life experiences that have made us who we are today.  There are stories everywhere, in everything we see, feel and hear.  Every bit of human contact provides and promotes a story.  My aim is to tell stories about being creative, about learning to live spiritually with love, light and joy.

I will be utilizing this "nest" for my creative writing dialogues.  Here, I'll be posting stories and articles for publishers and other media outlets to see a sampling of my style.

Why, you may ask, would I want to have one blog for all the above creative outlets?  It is because this is who I am.  I believe everything folds into everything else.  Writing folds into journals, spiritual practice folds into writing into journals.  I think you get my drift.  Like each one of us here in this vast Universe, we are all connected to one another, I believe my Creative Dialogues are all connected.  I hope you will stick around, subscribe to my blog and follow along on this journey with me.

Love and Light,
Sue
